There is a Platteville Tornado Relief Fund set up at Mound City Bank, 25 E Pine St, Platteville. The money will go towards businesses and residents who were affected by the 2 tornadoes that hit the Platteville area on June 16th.
Absentee voting in the City Clerk’s office starts today – Monday, October 20th!
Absentee voting hours are:
Monday, October 20th – Thursday, October 23rd
Monday, October 27th – Friday, October 31st

Trick or Treating hours in the City of Platteville will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31st.
The “M” is once again open to the public, be sure to go and enjoy it before inclement weather arrives!
In preparation for the upcoming fiber optic project in Platteville, representatives from CenturyLink may be reviewing their lines and facilities along easements in backyards. Such work may also extend beyond normal business hours. Do not be alarmed if you see these folks. They are working to improve service in Platteville. All CenturyLink personnel have Photo ID if you are concerned.
Building Platteville, Inc. has released an application form for use by those who have had losses related to the June 16th tornadoes that tore through the Platteville community. Building Platteville initiated the Platteville Tornado Relief Fund shortly after the June 16th tornado. Donations are still being accepted.
Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the Platteville Regional Chamber office, 275 W. Business Highway 151 West, Platteville, WI. Applicants are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible as there may not be funds available after September 1st, 2014.
