11-14-2016 Work is continuing indoors and on the hotel. Public Works Director Crofoot and Library Director Lee-Jones toured the new Library to verify placement of electrical switches and outlets on Thursday. Paving of the surface parking lot is anticipated next week. 10-28-2016: Brick work on the Library should be finishing up early next week. The big push is to get one layer of asphalt on the surface parking lot in the next 2 weeks for a staging area over winter. Work is progressing on roofing the Library, installing steel wall studs and getting it closed in. Contractors are working to have the surface parking lot ready and the first layer of blacktop paved this fall. The weather has been a hindrance to progress this past week. NCI is reviewing the schedule to see if the extensive rains have impacted the overall schedule.

A little rain won't stop this project! A new sign was added at the intersection of Pine Street and Main Street showing how much money has been raised for furnishings in the new Library. Check it out soon! Lane Closures on Chestnut have been consolidated to two days and may be moved up to Wednesday or Thursday, August 24 and 25. There may be additional closures on Main Street, Elm Street, and Pine Street to disconnect water lines at the water main for the old buildings. Work is progressing on back filling along Chestnut and roofing on the library portion.
