City Receives Grant From Platteville Community Fund To Support New Banners On Main Street

City Manager Clinton Langreck Receiving the Awarded Grant Letter

The City of Platteville was awarded a $3,000 grant from the Platteville Community Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc., for support of the purchase of new banners for the light poles on Main Street.  This was in addition to a grant received by the Museum to support storage needs and renovations.  The City of Platteville would like to sincerely thank the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin for their support with these, and all other projects in our area.  It was recently shared that the Platteville Community Fund has invested over $1,000,000 into our community!

A special thanks to Angie Wright for writing the grant, along with Michael Walsh and team for assisting with design, purchasing and upcoming rollout of the banners.  The hope is to have the banners in place in the Spring of 2024.
