Help Make a Splash for Platteville, Join the Platteville Pool Fundraising Committee
Platteville, WI – May 28, 2025 – The Platteville Pool Fundraising Committee and the City of Platteville invite you to a community meeting to discuss fundraising efforts for the much-loved Platteville Public Pool. The Committee is looking for additional people interested in helping with fundraising for the project. Residents, local businesses, and supporters are encouraged to attend and learn about the project and how they can help.
Meeting Details:
Date: Monday, June 9, 2025
Time: 6 PM
Location: Platteville Public Library, Community Room, 225 W Main Street, Platteville, WI
The Platteville Public Pool has served generations of families as a hub for recreation, swim lessons, and community events. In April, the community overwhelmingly supported a referendum to allow the City to borrow to reconstruct the pool. It is anticipated that the City funds provided via the referendum will cover the cost of the pool structure, but not any added amenities. We are forming a team of dedicated community members to help raise funds for the extra features that will truly make the new pool special. Join us on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 6pm at the Platteville Public Library to learn about the fundraising goals and how you can help.
Whether you have fundraising experience, creative ideas, or just a love for the pool, we would be happy to have you join us. Let’s work together to make a big splash for Platteville!
For more information and updates follow the Platteville Pool Fundraising Committee Splash into the Future Facebook page or visit the website (www.plattevillepublicpool.com).
