The City of Platteville, Faherty Incorporated and the University of Wisconsin–Platteville are partnering to host the fourth annual City Swap!  On Saturday, May 18, 2024, the community is encouraged to participate in this free exchange of gently used items at Faherty’s, 1120 Broadway Street.  Drop off gently used items or pick up new-to- you items!

Drop off times will be from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and items will be available for viewing and pick up from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Items remaining at the end of the day will be donated to local thrift stores or disposed of properly.

Items are intended for free reuse and not for resale or personal profit.  Free drop-off items are clothing, furniture, dishes & pans, toys, sports equipment, linens and other gently used items.  A list of items that will incur a fee include: broken and beyond repair items, mattresses, child car seats, refuse from construction or remodel, appliances, electronics, tires and batteries.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to help with this event!  Please contact Public Works Director Howard Crofoot at crofooth@platteville.org to help out, or with any questions.

Participation in the event is voluntary and neither the City of Platteville, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, nor Faherty, Inc. is responsible for the condition or quality of products.
