City of Platteville Welcomes Emma Cleveland as Communications Intern

PLATTEVILLE, WI  – The City of Platteville is excited to introduce Emma Cleveland as the Communications Intern in the City Manager’s office.

Emma is a Platteville native who is in her fifth and final year of her political science and sustainable and renewable energy systems majors at UW-Platteville. Most recently, she completed a communications internship in Washington D.C. “Although D.C. was a great experience, I was excited to return to Platteville,” Emma Stated. The internship helped her realize her passion for environmental policy, and solidified her decision to go into this field of work after graduation.

During her time at UW-Platteville, Emma has participated in the Marching Pioneers, University Community Orchestra, Residence Hall Association, National Residence Hall Honorary, Pre-Law Society, and served as the Vice President of the Student Body. She is excited to be working for the city to get a better understanding of the City Manager’s duties and to discover new ways for the citizens of Platteville to get involved and connected to new city initiatives.
