Calendar Date:
Southwest Music Fest
Southwest Music Festival, hosted by the Platteville Regional Chamber, kicks off Platteville's Hometown Festival Week each year in July. Live music is featured on the main stage which is placed right in the middle of our historic 2nd Street. In addition to the music, we will have raffle prizes, a 50/50 drawing and pull tabs. Feel free to bring your own lawn chair. Anyone under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a guardian.
BLUE STEEL was forged in the fire of two music styles, Country & Rock. With powerful male and female lead vocals, supported by rich three-part harmonies, and backed by some of the finest musicians, they deliver an unforgettable musical experience.
Walking Molly is a band from Dubuque, Iowa playing your favorite hit songs from the best decades of popular music. They pride themselves on having a versatile song list and being well rehearsed with good vocals.
The Pork Tornadoes are without a doubt, the most well-known and loved party band of the Midwest. They are known for putting a unique spin on all of your favorite songs, spanning 5 decades and 4 different genres. Led by singer Mason Greve, who is known as “The Justin Timberlake of the Midwest” and was a finalist on a Not-To-Be-Mentioned National TV singing show in 2014, The Pork Tornadoes will blow you away with an electric mix of covers ranging from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce, all the way to Lizzo, The Killers, Coolio and Phil Collins. Their debut EP peaked on the Apple iTunes Pop charts at #20 and has been streamed over 1.3 million times. They recently achieved viral success with the 5th-most viewed cover of ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ on Youtube and an impromptu performance of ‘In The Air Tonight’ with a drum line that was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine. Performing music that people of all ages and musical backgrounds can enjoy, crowds of fun-loving music fans continue to attend every Pork Tornadoes concert that they can.
