Common Council to Interview Four Candidates Vying For Vacant At-Large Seat During Tuesday, July 13 Work Session

The City of Platteville Common Council will interview four candidates vying for the Alderperson At-Large seat vacated by Robin Cline, who resigned from her position on Tuesday, May 25. 

Dennis Cooley, Clyde Holverson, Lynne Parrott and Akshay Sukhwal submitted letters of interest and will meet with Council members for in-person interviews during a Council Work Session on Tuesday, July 13 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 75 N Bonson Street.  The Work Session is open to the public.  Social-distancing practices will be followed, and masks, although not required, will be available at the entrance for anyone who would prefer one.

Appointment by the Council is planned for Tuesday, July 27, with new member swearing-in and orientation at the Tuesday, August 10 meeting.  The selected candidate will serve the remainder of the term which expires in April 2022.
