Clare Bank Takes Event Center over $400,000
The Legion Park Event Center (LPEC) committee is pleased to share that Clare Bank has joined many other Platteville banks in making a substantial contribution for the new Event Center. Pat Clare, Chair, President and CEO, shared: “Our business and our community are based on agriculture and the many families and businesses that support it. The event center is the hub of our community celebrations – Dairy Days – and it serves our southwest Wisconsin residents – weddings, reunions, and all kinds of celebrations of community. The need to replace the Art Hall is great. We are proud to be a part of this.”
Sheri Engelke, LPEC Chair Person shared: “We are very appreciative of the $25,000 donation. Our major employers, local businesses, banks, farm families and Platteville area residents are responding tremendously to this effort. Clearly, our community cares.”
Ron Weier, LPEC fundraiser stated, “Clare Bank has long history of philanthropy support for Platteville. This will help bring the event center to life!.”
Vince Graney, Fund Raising Chair, noted: “With our local businesses and organizations demonstrating the critical need for an affordable event center by their contributions, our area families now know that this is going to happen. Many of our rural and Platteville area families are beginning to send their contributions in. Consider being one of the first as our team will soon begin a residential drive.”
Donations of any size are important whether it is $10, $500, $2,500, $5,000 or more; all are helpful. 1000 names on the entrance kiosk would send a great message of our community collaboration for future generations. Those wishing to be a part of this effort may send checks to Inspiring Community, Inc. PO Box 503, Platteville, Wi 53818 and note “Event Center” on memo line.
