Library Specialist – Youth Services Team

The Platteville Public Library is seeking a friendly and outgoing individual with demonstrated youth services skills. This person will work with Youth Services staff to assist patrons, plan and promote events, and maintain library collections. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with children and families, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for literacy and community engagement. Work includes evenings and weekends in rotation.
Skills required: Strong computer skills and communication skills are necessary; a working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system is preferred. Previous library experience is desirable.
Minimum education: Two years of study at an accredited college, university, or technical school.
Starting wage: $13.80/hour, not to exceed 25 hours per week.
