Library Specialist - Adult and Teen Services Team

The Platteville Public Library is accepting applications for a Library Specialist – Adult and Teen Services Team.
Responsibilities: The library is seeking a tech-savvy, outgoing individual with demonstrated research and customer service skills. This person will work with Adult Services staff to answer reference questions, plan events, maintain library collections, select materials for purchase, and handle inter-library loans. Other responsibilities include circulation desk back-up, processing of new materials, and withdrawal of weeded items from the collection. Work includes evenings and weekends in rotation. Skills required: Strong computer skills and search skills are necessary; a working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system is preferred. Previous library experience is desirable.
Minimum education: Two years of study at an accredited college, university, or technical school.
Starting wage: $13.26-$15.53/hour, not to exceed 25 hours per week.
