The Platteville Public Library is seeking a friendly and outgoing individual with demonstrated youth services skills. This person will work with Youth Services staff to assist patrons, plan and promote events, and maintain library collections. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with children and families, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for literacy and community engagement. Work includes evenings and weekends in rotation. The starting wage is $14.78.

Qualifications

  • Two years of study at an accredited college, university, or technical school.
  • Strong communication skills, computer skills, research skills, customer service skills, adaptability, and the ability to work as a team are necessary.
  • Previous library experience (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system (preferred).
