The Platteville Public Library is seeking an outgoing, service-oriented, and collaborative professional to join our team as our new Youth Services Outreach Coordinator. The ideal candidate will exemplify the library’s values and service standards and will uphold our mission through their work coordinating library outreach opportunities, working with youth and families, and planning and executing programs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Staffing public service desks
  • Coordinating volunteer opportunities
  • Creating programming-related displays
  • Providing reader’s advisory
  • Preparing and distributing press releases and marketing materials
  • Attending workshops and meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or previous library work required. ALA-accredited master’s degree in Library and Information Science preferred.

Hours and Wages

Schedule will include 20 hours per week with one evening per week, Saturday and Sunday hours on a rotating basis approximately every 4 weeks. Starting wage range is $19.25 an hour.
