Retiring Art Teacher Tom Swailes honored by Rountree Gallery Board
On Sunday, May 15, 2016 the Rountree Gallery honored Platteville High School Art teacher Tom Swailes for his contributions to the annual Platteville High School and Middle School Art Show at the Rountree Gallery. Swailes has been the driving force behind this show since its inception almost two decades ago is retiring after this year.
Cindy Schave, president of the Rountree Gallery Board presented Tom Swailes with a turned wood bowl made by Rock Riedle, also a member of the Rountree Gallery Board. Also instrumental in this show is Jessica Steckling who teaches art to the Platteville Middle School. This year’s show will remain up until May 29th.
