Sealed bids will be accepted at the Platteville Police Department, 165 N. Fourth Street, Platteville, WI, 53818.  Bids received after 8 a.m. on September 9, 2024, will not be accepted.  Only bids on those forms provided by the city will be accepted as bona fide bids.  Terms of the sale are:  “As is” and they are to be removed within ten (10) days by the highest bidder.  If not claimed within ten days, vehicles will be sold to the next highest bidder.  Any interested person may bid on the vehicles.  Prospective bidders may make arrangements to view the vehicles by contacting the Platteville Police Department at (608) 348-2313.   Payment is to be made prior to removal of the vehicle.  The City of Platteville reserves the right to reject any and all bids if deemed to be inadequate.  Additional information and bid materials may be obtained at the Platteville Police Department. Click here for bid sheet.

Purchasers of the other vehicles will be provided with receipts which may allow for titling through the State of Wisconsin. For all vehicles, interested persons should understand that these vehicles have been abandoned by their owners.  No-one at the Police Department knows whether they run, what it would take to get them running or why they were abandoned.  We will not share information on who the owner was.
