The Platteville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer to fill an immediate opening and establish an eligibility pool for future openings.  Beginning pay is $23.32 with step increases to $30.23. For a complete job description, minimum requirements and application materials please visit www.platteville.org and select the Job Opportunities tab.

Please note that an Associate Degree or a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.  In lieu of a City application, candidates may submit a DJ-LE-330 obtained from the WILENET web site.  Applications are due Friday, March 12, 2021 at 5 p.m.  

Written tests, physical fitness testing, and the first round of interviews for selected candidates will be on Saturday, March 20th, 2021, beginning at 8 a.m.   At this time, there are no alternative dates offered. The Platteville Police and Fire Commission will tentatively hold interviews for those selected to participate on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 during evening hours.  See our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) at the bottom of this web page or contact Lt.
