The Platteville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer to fill an immediate opening and establish an eligibility pool for future openings. Beginning pay is $23.32 with step increases to $30.23. For a complete job description and minimum requirements reference attached documents. Please note that an Associate Degree or a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Candidates should submit a DJ-LE-330 obtained from the WILENET web site. Applications are due Friday, May 14th, 2021 at 5 p.m. Written tests, physical fitness testing, and the first round of interviews for selected candidates will be on Saturday, May 21st, 2021, beginning at 8 a.m. At this time, there are no alternative dates offered. The Platteville Police and Fire Commission will tentatively hold interviews for those selected to participate on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 during evening hours.
