The Platteville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer to fill an immediate opening and establish an eligibility pool for future openings. The Platteville Police Department places an emphasis on career development for all employees, with continuing advanced training throughout your employment. Our department places an emphasis on ethical, service-oriented policing. We are seeking candidates who are energetic, outgoing, and interested in working in a fun, but challenging work environment.

Beginning pay is $23.32 with step increases to $30.23. Completion of 60 college credits is required. Candidates may submit a DJ-LE-330 obtained from the WILENET web site.  Applications are due Friday, September 10, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.   Written tests, physical fitness testing, and the first round of interviews for selected candidates will be on Saturday, September 18th, 2021, beginning at 8 a.m.   At this time, there are no alternative dates offered.
