Reserved Parking Spaces Now Available for the 2019-2020 Season
Downtown Reserved Parking spaces are now available to be reserved for the 2019-2020 season. The Downtown Reserved Parking program was created to address the need of long-term parking in downtown Platteville. The goal is to give people who live or work in downtown the ability to reserve a convenient parking space in a specific lot. This will give participants who selected a parking space security that whenever they are in downtown working, doing business, or residing, they will have a guaranteed place to park and not be required to move their vehicle every twenty-four hours, as required in other City parking lots. Fees from the reserved parking program are held in a special account designated for future downtown improvements.
Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for the following contracts: Full Year: September 1 – August 31, 2020 or Academic Year: September 1 – May 31, 2020. City staff will begin accepting applications for the 2019-2020 season on July 15, 2019.
A limited number of reserved parking spaces will be available in Lot 2 (Mineral Street), Lot 4 (Oak Street) and Lot 5 (Pine Street East of the Platteville Post Office) at a cost of $30/month. Automatic monthly payments are required. A 15% discount is available for renters who pay for the entire year or academic year in advance. More information and the application for reserving a parking space can be found on the City’s website at www.platteville.org/parking or in the Public Works office of City Hall.
