A Public Information meeting regarding the upcoming Sowden and Grace Street Reconstruction Project on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers at City Hall. The objective of the project is to replace utilities and completely reconstruct Grace Street from Madison Street to the cul-de-sac and Sowden Street from Grace Street to Water Street. This project will be bid in early 2024, work will start in April/May 2024, and it will be completed in October/November 2024.
Status Updates
October 16, 2024
Iverson Construction will be onsite on Thursday and Friday Oct 17-18 to do final prep of the gravel before paving.
They will pave the first layer on Monday Oct 21. Once rolled, residents can drive on it.
They will pave the second (top) layer on Wednesday Oct 23. We ask that residents stay off it if possible until the end of the day.

There will be a public construction update meeting on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 6:00pm at the intersection of Sowden and Grace Street, rain or shine, with representatives from Delta 3 Engineering and the City of Platteville present.(Letter attached below: Sowden & Grace Letter #3)

H. James & Sons will be starting the Sowden and Grace project on Monday, July 15, 2024. Delta 3 Engineering will be putting out flyers this week to let residents know the scheudle.
