2026/2027 - E. Main Street Reconstruction

A public information meeting regarding the 2027 East Main Street Project will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers at City Hall. The project's objective is to replace utilities in 2026 and reconstruct the street, including the large storm sewer culvert in 2027. The 2026 Water and Sanitary Sewer project is separate from the other project and will be designed and bid locally. The 2027 project is partially funded by WisDOT and will be bid in late 2026 for construction in 2027.

Attached are Alternate 1 and Alternate 2 as presented in the Public Involvement Meeting (PIM) on February 17.
February 17, 2025
Based on input from the Community Safe Routes Committee, there is Alternate 4 to remove parking on the south side of E. Main Street from Water to Virgin, install bike lanes in both directions and use the space to make driving lanes, parking lanes and sidewalk wider. Attached are two Options - one to keep parking on the north side between Broadway and the Eastman Cartwright driveway and the other Option to remove parking.
