Southwest Wisconsin Community Resource Forum Postponed Until Further Notice
The Southwest Wisconsin Community Resource Forum has been postponed until further notice.
-----------------------
PLATTEVILLE, WI (February 18, 2020) – Grant County Economic Development, the City of Platteville, Platteville Regional Chamber, the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, and WHEDA are hosting a community resource forum for the Southwest Wisconsin Region.
The event will be held on Friday, March 20 in the Lenz Center at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (Fennimore) with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding with roundtable discussions over lunch. The forum will feature presentations by the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands (BCPL); Wisconsin Department of Administration-Division of Energy, Housing and Community Resources (DECHR); Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC); USDA Rural Development; and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA).
In speaking about the event, Platteville City Council President Barbara Daus, noted, “This forum is designed to provide information about how federal, state, local, and private financing can help our Southwest Wisconsin communities achieve their vision for housing and economic development. Bringing leaders in the region together is crucial to developing a working group that can find innovative and collaborative ways to bring projects to our region.”
The event is open to the public. Registration is free but is required by Friday, March 13, 2020. Grant County Economic Development is accepting reservations and fielding questions. Contact Darlene Mickelson at contact@grantcounty.org or 608-822-3501.
