Vicki and John Hirsch Donate $5,000 To New Platteville Fire Facility Project

Thank you, Vicki and John Hirsch for your $5,000 donation to the New Platteville Fire Facility project!

Vicki commented, "As a parent of a PFD firefighter, I’ve watched the brotherhood that comes from being part of the Platteville Fire Department. The endless training, the sleepless nights, the interrupted family dinners have all been a part of our lives throughout these many years." 

"Being so close to this facility has made it possible to realize the dangers of both fighting fires along with all the other tragedies they are exposed to, and unfortunately, coming back to a station that is very crowded, unfit air quality, and no decontamination facilities. By donating, we have the chance to say thank you publicly for the dedication, sacrifice, hard work and for putting themselves on the line so that we as a community can stay safe. It takes courage to be a firefighter. It takes compassion to make a donation and say thank you!"
