Free COVID-19 Local Testing Sites – November 23-28, 2020

Update: Due to Tuesday's weather forecast, the National Guard COVID Test Site in Lancaster (Grant County Fairgrounds) will be opening one hour later than planned, at 11AM. Tomorrow's hours of operation will be 11am-5:30pm and the site will stay open later if there is a line at 5:30.

UW Platteville also announced today that there will not be a Saturday testing site, as was previously reported on our calendar. Over the extended holiday weekend, there will be free community testing available at the Alliant Energy center in Madison Friday and Saturday (8am-4pm).

Upcoming COVID-19 testing sites - All sites are open to the general public. Testing is also available at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on Friday Nov 27, 8am-4pm and Saturday Nov 28 from 8am-4pm.

COUNTY SITES: Appointments are not required at county sites, but we do request that visitors pre-register at https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov/ if possible. Pre-registration saves waiting time.  

UW SITES: Visitors to the UW sites must register for an appointment online at https://www.doineedacovid19test.com/. Participants will also use this site to obtain results. 

Testing at any of the above sites (County and UW) is open to anyone (age 5+) who feels they have a need to be tested.

Those who might visit a community testing site include:

  • People who have had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
  • People with COVID-19 symptoms 
  • People who have regular exposure to a large number of people (e.g., people who work in grocery stores)
  • People who work closely with high-risk populations (e.g., healthcare workers, people who work with people who are incarcerated, people who work in long-term care facilities)

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with consent.
