Platteville City Hall Closed to the Public with In-Person Voting and Registration by Appointment Only

PLATTEVILLE, WI (March 23, 2020) – Platteville City Hall, located at 75 N. Bonson Street will be temporarily closed to the public effective Wednesday, March 18 at 5:00 p.m. Residents can register to vote and vote absentee at the City Clerk’s office by appointment. All City departments will continue to provide essential services to residents while limiting in-person interaction in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  Staff will be available to answer phones and respond to emails during the regularly scheduled hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Most business can be conducted electronically through the City website at www.platteville.org, or by phone (608) 348-9741.

A drop box is also available outside City Hall to drop off utility and fire inspection payments. Regular office access will resume Monday, April 6, subject to county, state, and national recommendations.

City officials are taking these steps as a precaution and for the health and safety of staff and the community.
