Amy Seeboth-Wilson

I first moved to Platteville in 2008 to work with Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, a intergovernmental organization that helps communities develop long-range plans. Originally from the Milwaukee area, I love the rolling hills of Grant County. Since moving here, I have served on the Platteville Community Arboretum Board, The Planning Commission, and the Platteville Main Street Sustainability Committee. I also managed to meet the love of my life (Chris Wilson, who is from Cuba City) and we got married in 2014. I have a happy nine-year old step-son who attends Westview Elementary and a baby, born in April 2016. I currently work at UW-Platteville in Facilities Management, where I serve as the Sustainability Coordinator, helping the University reduce waste and save energy. I have a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University, a master's degree from UW-Madison and professional certification in planning from the American Institute of Certified Planners. I find myself lucky to have ended up in Platteville; I love so many things about this community, including it's historic downtown, strong school system, amazing trail network, and the exciting mix of having a college campus in our small town. I am honored to serve on the Council and strive to make sure that we develop practical, long-term decisions that represent all of our residents.
