2022 Property Assessment Open Book/Tax Roll Viewing and Board of Review Information
The 2022 Open Book/Tax Roll Viewing and Board of Review dates are as follows:
- Open Book/Tax Roll Viewing - April 19, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Open Book via phone - until noon on May 24, 2022
- Board of Review - May 26, 2022, from Noon to 2 p.m.
2022 Personal Property Assessment
The 2022 review of all personal property in the City of Platteville is complete. The assessed value is reflective of the personal property that you own or that is in your charge in the City of Platteville.

The Tuesday, April 26th City of Platteville Common Council meeting included a special presentation, Making Sense of Assessments, given by City Manager Adam Ruechel in regards the recent property assessment letters sent out from Accurate Appraisal, LLC. In order to provide property owners with more flexibility in being able to speak with the assessor, beginning in 2022 Accurate Appraisal will offer an extended period of Open Book via phone. The assessor will be available for calls to discuss property values from the time assessment notices are received until 48 hours before the Board of Review convenes.
The assessment roll also is available online at accurateassessor.com/roll-books.
After talking with an assessor, if you still wish to object to your assessment, you must file a Form of Objection.
A written/oral intent to object must be filed with the Clerk at least 48-hours prior to the Board of Review. You must set an appointment with the Clerk to attend the Board of Review. Contact the City Clerk at 608-348-9741 or cityclerk@platteville.org to file and set an appointment.
The Board of Review will meet at Platteville City Hall on Thursday, May 26th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 75 N Bonson Street.
