Fall General Election Information

Fall General Election – Tuesday, November 6, 2018

The ballot will include the following contests: Governor and Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, U.S. Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator (odd-numbered districts), Representative to the Assembly (all districts), and County offices of Sheriff, Clerk of Circuit Court and Coroner.  Click to view the front and back side of the ballot.  For more information regarding the Dark Store Loophole, an informational video can be found at youtu.be/h7Kurxbd5qE.

Methods of Voting:
Absentee Voting – Absentee Voting is currently taking place in the City Clerk's office at 75 N. Bonson Street until Friday, November 2, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. No absentee voting may occur on the day before the election.

Election Day Voting – City polling places are open from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. The City has two polling locations, National Guard Armory at 475 North Water Street and on campus in Ullsvik Hall at 30 South Hickory Street. A voter can only vote at the polling location that is designated for his/her address. To find your ward and district visit myvote.wi.gov/en-us/FindMyPollingPlace and enter your address.

Registration:
Voters can register to vote In advance of the election in the City Clerk's office during the regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. up until the Friday before an election. On Friday, November 2nd the office will be open until 5:00 p.m. Voters can also register at the polls on election day. You must provide a Proof of Residence document when registering to vote. Making sure you are registered with your current address ahead of time will shorten your time at the polls on Election Day.

Photo ID Requirement: 
Photo identification is now required to vote! Most voters already have one of the types of photo ID required to vote. Learn more about photo identification by visiting www.bringitwisconsin.com
