November 8, 2022 - General Election Information
Election held in even-numbered years on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November to elect United States senators, representatives to congress, presidential electors, state senators, representatives to the assembly, district attorneys, state officers other than the state superintendent and judicial officers, and county officers other than supervisors and county executives. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. We expect Election Day to have periods of high turn-out so anticipate lines at certain times during the day.

Please visit www.myvote.wi.gov for your polling location. Election day parking maps can be found in the supporting documents section below.
Districts 1 & 2 vote at the Broske Center, which is located in Legion Park at 1155 N 2nd Street, Platteville, WI 53818. Districts 3 & 4 vote at Ullsvik Hall on the UW-Platteville Campus at 30 South Hickory Street, Platteville, WI 53818.

Go online to www.myvote.wi.gov to check your registration status to be sure you are registered. If you have moved or changed your name since you last voted, you will need to register.
Get a Ballot Sent to Your Home
An Absentee Ballot is an option for ALL voters. Your request for an absentee ballot can be made by visiting www.myvote.wi.gov, email, mail, or in person in the Clerk’s Office. Once our office receives your request, your ballot will be mailed to the address of your choice within one business day. Just be sure to include a copy of your Photo ID with your request. Remember, voted ballots must be returned to us no later than Election Day (Tuesday, November 8) in order to be counted!
We anticipate ballots to be available for mailing by Thursday, September 22, 2022. Requests for ballots are being accepted now! The deadline to request a ballot by mail for the General Election is Thursday, November 3, 2022, but don’t wait, request yours today! Send your request (absentee application) by mail to: City Clerk, PO Box 780, Platteville, WI 53818; or by email to voting@platteville.org; or online at: wwwmyvote.wi.gov.
In-person Absentee Voting at City Hall
This option is for voters who do not want to go to the polling location on Election Day and/or those who prefer not to receive a ballot by mail. Please be aware there may be lines at times.
Location: City Hall – Council Chambers 2nd Floor, 75 N. Bonson Street, Platteville, WI 53818.
Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday
Dates: Beginning Tuesday, October 25, 2022 (8:00 a.m.) and Ending Friday, November 4, 2022 (5:00 p.m.)
