Utility Bill Late Fees and Disconnections Update

During 2020, in response to the pandemic, the Public Service Commission (PSC) suspended disconnection actions, and allowed municipalities to waive late fees. As of April 15, 2021, the PSC will no longer allow utilities to waive late fees for delinquent accounts. Based on the utility billing cycle, late fees will be applied to overdue accounts starting June 21st.

Service dates from April 15-May 15 will be billed on May 27th-28th. That bill will be due on June 20th. On June 21st, any unpaid balances for services received after April 15th will be subject to a 3% late fee.  Disconnections will resume in July.
