Voter Registration Drives and Absentee Ballot Requests

Caution! Voter registration drives will increase in 2024. These organizations are not affiliated with the City of Platteville and while most organizations are legitimate, this is also an area of opportunity for scammers. Be aware that voter registration requires personal information such as your date of birth and driver’s license number. Never give personal information to anyone you don’t know and trust. If you have not moved or changed your name and have voted in the last four years you are probably already registered. Call the clerk’s office at (608) 348-1823 to confirm before filling out an application.

The safest ways to register to vote include the following:

1. Online at myvote.wi.gov (deadline October 16, 2024)

2. By Mail – (must be postmarked by October 16, 2024) mail in your registration application and proof of residency to City Clerk, PO Box 780 Platteville, WI 53818. The required form can be downloaded from the City’s website.

3. In-person at your Municipal Clerk’s Office: (until November 1, 2024) Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

4. In-person at your assigned polling location on Election Day 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Note: All options require acceptable proof of residency.
