Why is the W. Main Street Culvert Replacement Taking So Long To Be Completed?
After the original contractor missed completion deadlines, the City requested that the bond company, Granite Re, take over the project contract. The bond company has contracted with S&L Underground to complete the project. Crews from S&L Underground came on site Wednesday, November 2 to work on completing the job. The goal is to have a passable road for the winter.
Update 11/08/2022:
The City has just been informed that all culvert sections of the W. Main Street culvert replacement are in place and the the contractor plans on backfilling tomorrow. If all goes well, they hope to have it ready for first layer paving for the winter by Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
