Join First Lady Tonette Walker on Wednesday Morning for a "Walk With Walker" Along the Rountree Branch Trail
Please join First Lady Tonette Walker on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 as she walks along the meandering Rountree Branch stream through the Rountree Branch Trail in historical Platteville, Wisconsin.
Participants will gather and park at the Platteville Regional Chamber Office and Travel Wisconsin Welcome Center located at 275 W Business Hwy 151, Platteville, WI 53818. Please meet by 9:00 AM. The guided walk will span approximately two miles, beginning at Patrick's Place, Rountree Trail and continuing along the trail to Katie's Garden.
The largest community in Grant County, charming Platteville offers a historic Main Street with surrounding farms and a university. Katie's Garden, the end destination of this walk, is full of color throughout the season, and houses a gazebo as its focal point.
Please be advised to wear or bring with you the following: good walking shoes, umbrellas, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, layers or a jacket, camera, and water.
