Mound City Bank Contributes $25,000 to New Platteville Event Center
The Legion Park Event Center committee is pleased to announce that Mound City Bank has committed $25,000 to the new event center.
Donna Hoppenjan, MCB President and CEO, noted: “We see this event center to give back to the many SW Wisconsin families and businesses that have long supported Mound City Bank. We need an affordable event center for our families to celebrate weddings, family and class reunions, and other festive events. It will also give our local businesses a place in Platteville to hold large attendee events as well as promoting local catering businesses.”
Sheri Engelke, Chair Person of the Legion Park Event Center Committee, noted: “We are pleased to see Mound City Bank make such a meaningful contribution. Community Banks stepping forward to this degree, send a message to our entire community as to the event center need and benefits to the Platteville area.”
Ron Weier, Event Center Fundraiser, said, “MCB and our community banks have set the stage for a very successful project. Now is the time for others to join in. If you want to be proactive and join these contributors, please call Vince Graney (732-0327) or Sheri Engelke (642-5485) to learn more.”
Those wishing to be a part of this effort may send checks to Inspiring Community, Inc. PO Box 503, Platteville, Wi 53818 and note “Event Center” on memo line.
