Platteville Community Arboretum Invites Public to a Trail Tour on August 17

The Platteville Community Arboretum would like to invite the public to a one hour tour of Rountree Branch Trail Segment on Thursday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m.  Meet at Trail Head Parking at Rural Excavating, corner of Mineral Street and Milwaukee Road.

See the results of the work of PCA’s wonderful 40 volunteers to include new trees, historical kiosk about Empire Mine, ‘Blood Factory, etc, native grass borders, artistic bike racks, multiple native garden plots, honey suckle removal, sun and shade gardens as well as eagle scout projects to include bat houses, ADA picnic tables, tree projects and girl scouts (Daisies) garden. It is a one mile one way walking tour ending at gazebo below Menards.
