City Received New Lead Service Line Grant on August 31
The Department of Natural Resources announced that Platteville was one of 30 communities that have been awarded a Lead Service Line grant for State Fiscal Year 2018. With this additional $200,000 in grant funding, the City should be able to provide funds to any residential property owner who replaces a lead water service line after April 1, 2016. The City has retroactively provided grant funding to at least 3 residents who replaced lines after the start date.
