Mechanic

The City Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of city vehicles and mechanical equipment. The incumbent also supports the activities of the Street Division, including operating a snow plow. Candidates should have a strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, automotive, and construction equipment, and understand repair and maintenance procedures. The position requires a high school degree or equivalent, 5 years of related work experience, and the ability to obtain at minimum a Class B CDL license.  This is a full-time position that is eligible for benefits with a starting pay of $20.36/hr.
