Notice of Platteville Wastewater Treatment Plant Overflow Event on September 12, 2019

On September 12, 2019 from approximately 8:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. there was an overflow at the City of Platteville Wastewater Treatment Plant, due to high flows from recent excessive rains.  Staff estimates that approximately 60,000 gallons of wastewater was leaked into the Rountree Branch at that time. The last overflow event was in fall 2018 due to similar circumstances of large amounts of rain over a short period.
