The City of Platteville's annual spring clean up will be held on Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22, 2018, with pick up the same day as your normal refuse collection. Items must be placed neatly at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the day of pick up. This service is provided to one and two-family dwellings only.

Specific items that will not be picked up include batteries & tires, appliances including microwaves, refuse from major construction and remodeling projects, as well as oil, anti-freeze, insecticides, and hazardous chemicals.  Boy Scout Troop 82 will collect appliances for a donation.  Please call 608-778-0707 to arrange pick up.

All items must be stacked neatly and be in a pile no larger than 10’ x 4’ x 4’.  Scrap metal should be stacked neatly separate from other refuse.  Scrap metal and yard waste does not count toward the maximum size limit.

Garden and yard waste will be included in the spring clean up and will be picked up by City crews on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of clean up week only.  Please bag separately from weekly garbage and the $1.00 bags are not required during this special pick up only.
