Temporary Mechanic

This temporary fill-in position for City Mechanic will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of city vehicles and mechanical equipment. The incumbent also supports the activities of the Street Division, including operating a snowplow. Candidates should have a strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, automotive, and construction equipment, and understand repair and maintenance procedures. The position requires a high school degree or equivalent, ASE Certification, 5 years of related work experience, and the ability to obtain a CDL license. This is a temporary part-time or full-time position (approx. 6-12 wks.) with pay at $19.96/hr.
